Maverick Skateparks have been popping up all over the UK, with over 50 skateparks situated across England and Wales. You become immediately aware which skateparks are Maverick built but they are never identical, due to the company's delicate process of 'inspire, design and build'.
Maverick specialise in producing spray concrete skateparks, offering a smooth surface to ride and a park that is built to last. Redruth skatepark is no different! This park is perfect for flow and exhibits a huge open space in the centre of the park, while also incorporating elements of street by introducing some inspired ledges and rails. The park itself is placed within East End Playing Fields, around 5 minutes walk from the centre.

What makes Redruth so important?
Firstly, it offers a safe and accessible skatepark to local riders who previously may not have had access to a skatepark. Without transport, it can be difficult to visit parks outside of your local area and therefore, stop people doing what they love. Skateparks can be a great place to make new friends and regularly exercise, which is hugely important for mental health. Redruth skatepark offers a space where anybody with a piece of wood and four wheels (plus the rest of the board!) can use for free whenever suits them!
Additionally, it offers a unique skatepark with a new design and layout that will be appealing to even the most experienced skaters. What's more appealing than cruising on a fresh surface? or riding a line that's never been done before? The possibilities of a new skatepark are endless and the challenge to navigate it; just as exciting.

Redruth Skate Jam
Maverick have just announced an opening jam for the park, which is open to skateboarders, BMX riders and scooters. The jam is scheduled for Saturday 27th November from 12pm-4pm and is likely to attract some reputable names from around Cornwall. Anybody is able to participate so don't hesitate to get involved or head down to spectate!
The event is set to be sponsored by various local and domestic brands including Liberalis Skate, with a variety of prizes available throughout the day. This may even include new Liberalis Skate merchandise but who knows.... You'll just have to turn up on the day and see for yourself!
Hope to see you there!
